Ramsey Wilde

Ramsey graduated from grooming school in Greenville, SC in May 2005. After working for a corporate grooming salon, she decided to return to her hometown of Boone and opened Petstyle Salon in June 2008. She and her husband, Brian, decided to expand and opened Fetching Ridge in December 2009. Her goal has always been to provide professional, caring, and affordable service to a community that she loves. She has spent her career learning, growing, and striving for pet care excellence.


Ramsey regularly attends grooming and pet care seminars, and has competed in several grooming competitions. She is a Certified Master Groomer through the National Dog Groomers Association of America, and is also Pet First Aid & CPR certified.


Kennel Manager

Dezi Beltran

Before working at Fetching Ridge, Dezi spent years in the hospitality industry. She is compassionate and treats all of our furry clients with love and respect. Her attention to detail means that she goes the extra mile to ensure that your pet's stay with us is as comfortable and carefree as possible. Dezi has always had a passion for photography, and loves snapping pictures of your pets to share with you while you are away!


Dezi, along with all other staff, has received basic canine behavior training through local, nationally certified trainers. She is familiar with how to recognize and minimize stress, introduce dogs to playmates, and read canine body language. She is also Pet First Aid & CPR certified.


NDGAA Certified Groomer

Maggie Hunter

Maggie began training as a groomer through an apprenticeship in January 2016 and has been at Fetching Ridge since April 2017. Before she joined our staff, she graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill, traveled the world, and taught middle school students. Maggie is dedicated to providing exceptional care and grooming for your pet. She is happy to share her wealth of knowledge with clients about the care and maintenance of their pets.

Maggie loves reading books, attending seminars, and working with pet care professionals to learn as much as possible about her field. She is Certified by the National Dog Groomers Association of America in Non-Sporting Breeds and Terriers and is working towards her Master Certification. She is also Pet First Aid & CPR certified.


Pet Stylist

Kai Stone

Kai worked as a bather and grooming assistant before training as a groomer under Ramsey at Fetching Ridge. She has been grooming since Spring 2019. She is caring, driven, and loves making your pet look its best. In October 2019, Kai competed and placed 2nd in the Governor's Insurance Career Start grooming competition in Orlando FL.  She has completed the first part of her terrier certification through the National Dog Groomers Association of America and hopes to become a National Certified Master Groomer in the near future.

Kai is Pet First Aid & CPR certified.


Pet Stylist

Harley McMillan

Harley also worked as a bather and grooming assistant before training as a groomer under Ramsey at Fetching Ridge. She has been grooming since Spring 2020.  When she's not grooming dogs, you can find Harley giving boarding pets extra scritches.  She takes the time to make sure that even the shyest pets have a wonderful time at our facility. Harley is excited to learn the ins and outs of grooming and will be attending grooming seminars and classes in the future.


Katie Griffith

Kennel Staff

Katie has a degree in Appalachian Studies and Sustainable Development.  She is currently working on her graduate degree at ASU in Biology.  You can find Katie playing fetch in the yard, handing out treats or taking pictures of our furry friends.

Lauren Wilson

Grooming Apprentice

Lauren joined our team while pursuing a career in art.  She was passionate about the animals and really enjoyed learning about animal behaviors . She wanted to learn more about the field and in the summer of 2021 she decided to meld her passions together and is now working as a grooming apprentice. Lauren is a talented artist and will soon become a skilled groomer as well.

Pimento lives at Fetching Ridge and loves snuggling, making friends, and trying to escape.


In loving memory of...


Arya was Fetching Ridge's original "shop cat." She was full of sass and personality. She loved food, mayhem, and getting in the way. She was greatly loved and is sorely missed.
